Shinenju is the Memory Rosary at the heart of the film Memories of Nobody, an object formed entirely from the memories of souls stranded in the Dangai. In the story it takes human shape as the girl Senna, becoming the prize the Dark Ones need for their plot.
The Shinenju, or Memory Rosary, is an object assembled entirely from the memories of Souls that have gone astray within the Dangai. Those scattered recollections gather into a single form and eventually find their way back to the Human World.
In Bleach: Memories of Nobody, the Shinenju becomes the object of a race between Ichigo Kurosaki and the Dark Ones. Kisuke Urahara urges Ichigo to reach it first, and Senna joins the search, only for a band of Shinigami to reveal that Senna herself is the Shinenju. Their leader, Ganryū, means to use it to crash the Human World and Soul Society into one another, wiping out both. The Dark Ones abduct Senna and plant her at the heart of the Valley of Screams to draw the Blanks and harness their energy. Because the rosary is built from memory, it can command the Blanks, hauling worlds together or forcing them apart. After the Dark Ones are beaten, Senna spends herself to turn that same energy toward returning both realms to their proper places.
The Dark Ones covet the Shinenju as the linchpin of their plan. Senna is its living embodiment, and it is through her sacrifice that its power is finally used to mend rather than to destroy.
