Quilge's completed form proves invisible to the senses and devastatingly fast. A flashback recounts Urahara's warning about the Quincy: Letzt Stil, and just as Quilge readies his finisher, the monstrous Ayon strikes him down.
Orihime heals the fallen Arrancar inside her barrier while watching Ichigo face the transformed Quilge. She senses no Reishi shockwave and no Reiatsu from him at all. Quilge flickers behind Ichigo and brings his blade down in a burst of force.
A flashback shows Urahara once explaining the Quincy: Letzt Stil, the final power a Quincy attains by shedding the Sanrei Glove, at the cost of losing their powers for good. Back in the present, Ichigo wonders whether this is that same technique, but Quilge corrects him: the Letzt Stil died out two centuries ago, clung to only by Soken Ishida, and stands as far beneath the Vollstandig as earth from heaven.
After Ichigo's point-blank Getsuga Tensho leaves Quilge unscathed, the Sternritter gathers a cross of Reishi using Sklaverei, tearing apart Orihime's Soten Kisshun as it draws in everything around him. He gives his Vollstandig the name Piskiel and challenges Ichigo to withstand its might.
Before he can strike, Ayon smashes him dozens of meters away, and the Tres Bestias urge the beast to show Quilge his strength.
Quilge's Vollstandig renders him undetectable and blindingly quick. Urahara's flashback clarifies the difference between the extinct Quincy: Letzt Stil and the Vollstandig. Quilge demonstrates Sklaverei, absorbing surrounding Reishi, before Ayon ambushes and staggers him.
