Inside Urahara's workshop, the shadow pouring out of Jushiro Ukitake bursts free and his body drops, sending his third seats scrambling to his side. What appears to be Mimihagi rising is in fact being drawn upward and swallowed, and a shaft of darkness then slams into the Shakonmaku over the transplanted Seireitei and creeps across it. High in the Greater Soul King Palace, Yhwach buckles to one knee as tiny single-eyed things pour from his cloak, and Haschwalth identifies the flood as the Soul King's power breaking loose from its seal, harmless to the Quincy but deadly to the Shinigami.
