Appearance

Power inhabits the body of a dead young woman, and her most telling features are the pair of light red horns that rise from her hair and the cross-shaped marks set in her red-and-yellow eyes. Her mane shifts in color depending on the artwork, landing anywhere from blonde to pink to strawberry, and her mouth is lined with pointed fangs. The more blood she takes in, the longer and more curved those horns grow, and fresh pairs can erupt along the sides of her head.

Her wardrobe matches her temperament. She wears the standard hunter's shirt, tie, and slacks, pads her chest to fake a larger bust, and lets her jacket slide half off her shoulders for a permanently disheveled look. In the reborn world where the Chainsaw Devil never existed, she ties her hair into pigtails and serves under Nayuta instead.

Her true Blood Devil shape is a towering four-armed figure with mostly pale skin and a sharply pointed crimson head. Cross-shaped pupils sit in round eyes, long horns sweep back from her skull, and her ribcage gapes open to reveal coils of intestine climbing toward her throat. Deep red stains her clawed, four-fingered hands and her legs from the thigh down, and a feline tail finishes the form.

Personality

Brash, grasping, and almost entirely out for herself, Power swaggers into fights she expects to win and flees the ones she doesn't without a shred of embarrassment. She lords her Fiend status over her fellow hunters, swears allegiance to no side beyond whichever looks like winning, and lies as easily as she breathes, pinning her own misdeeds on Denji even with crumbs still on her face. Hygiene bores her, vegetables disgust her, and her appetite is bottomless enough to wipe out a team's emergency stores. Left to daydream, she imagines clawing her way to a Nobel Prize and Japan's premiership just to tax everyone into misery.

Underneath the bluster, though, something softens. Her cat Meowy draws out the first real tenderness she has ever felt, enough that she schemes and risks herself to get the animal back. That capacity widens to take in Denji, for whom she buys a birthday cake and eventually steps into danger, and Aki, whose household she upends like a bratty younger sister. A stint in Hell and a brush with the Darkness Devil leave her terrified of being alone, leaning on her housemates just to bathe and sleep. In the end her loyalty overrides her survival instinct: rather than trade Denji to Makima to save herself, she gives her life for his. Restored in the new timeline, she keeps the same loud, scheming, rule-flouting streak while genuinely looking out for him.

Abilities

As the Blood Fiend, Power turns her own blood into whatever weapon a moment calls for, conjuring a massive crushing hammer, paired knives and daggers, spears she can hide as ambush traps, scythes, axes, and even a chainsaw she once handed to Denji. She can steer the blood of others through touch, staunch a wound, or sabotage an enemy's healing, and in her full Blood Devil state she rains thousands of summoned blades down at once in a technique strong enough to stall Makima. A contract also lets her pour her blood and vitality into another body to mend it, which is how she revives the gravely wounded Chainsaw Man.

Drinking blood restores her, and taking in enough of it, or the blood of a stronger devil, sends her power surging while extra horns sprout from her head. She can claw her way back from death on the smallest trace of blood, which is precisely how she returns after Makima kills her. Beyond her devil tricks she is far stronger and faster than any human, able to fell a bear or shatter the Sea Cucumber Devil in a single blow, and her nose is sharp enough to track a scent or pick out Aki through a closed door. She is also a capable knife fighter and a passable actress, once playing dead convincingly enough to fool Quanxi.
