I Wanna See Penguins! turns a rigid date into a trap. Asa drowns Denji in aquarium trivia until he walks off to find penguins, and Fami reveals herself as the Famine Devil. She seals the pair inside an endless aquarium spun by the returned Eternity Devil.
Yoru doubts that Asa can charm Denji, but Asa is confident, insisting boys melt for anyone who offers them even a sliver of fun and that her own cuteness will have him smitten quickly. On the date she clings rigidly to a script, bombarding Denji with trivia about sea anemones. Denji keeps asking to go see the penguins, a creature he has never laid eyes on, but Asa brushes him off, certain her plan is the blueprint for a flawless outing. When he interrupts a second time she grows baffled, convinced he should already be falling for her, and snaps at him to be quiet and follow the plan. Instead Denji announces he has resolved to think for himself and abandons her to seek out the penguins.
Asa stews, sure that Denji is the one at fault. Yoru blames her dullness, but Asa flings the charge back at both of them, pointing out that she had researched ocean facts at the library just for this. The woman who revived Yuko then materializes and tells Asa that her relentless need to do right means she could never bring herself to turn a person into a weapon. She names herself Fami, the Famine Devil, and vanishes along with Yoru, declaring that a starved human will shed their morals and that Asa cannot leave the aquarium until Denji becomes a weapon. Denji reappears with grim news: the Eternity Devil has climbed back out of hell and locked them inside the building's endless halls.
Asa's scripted date collapses when Denji decides to think independently and wanders off for the penguins. The mysterious healer reveals herself as Fami, the Famine Devil, and abducts Yoru. Fami imprisons Asa in the aquarium with the demand that she weaponize Denji. The Eternity Devil returns and traps everyone inside its infinite maze.
