Summary

In the wake of the blast, Yoru regrows from her scorched head and alights gracefully just as another devil's severed head drops nearby. After apologizing to it, she surveys the ruin she has caused: every citizen of Japan around her is either burnt to ash or torn apart, most still writhing in pain, Chainsaw Man among them, reduced to a blackened torso and head. Spotting a woman with her brain exposed pleading for Chainsaw Man to save her, Yoru realizes she has finally made a world where no one can die, the very thing she fought for, and weeps with joy.

Key Events

The celebration falters when that same woman stands over Chainsaw Man and lets blood from her cracked skull trickle into his open mouth, prompting Yoru to kick her head off. As Chainsaw Man stirs, Yoru thanks him for delivering her paradise and moves to claim him as her weapon, reaching out to touch his body while searching for a name. She is blindsided when Denji emerges from within, flashes a peace sign, and tells her he has won. He explains that because of how her power works, anytime she defeats a foe in body and mind she may turn them into a weapon, but when she stretched out her arm he had thrown scissors, winning their rock paper scissors match and making the moment her loss, so she cannot convert him.
