Summary

Taking stock of Hell around them, Aki kicks Denji back to consciousness. Denji instinctively tries to transform but manages only the chainsaw's tip poking from his head, and Quanxi guesses he is running short on blood. She proposes a ceasefire among the rival factions while they work out their predicament, then observes that the fiends among them, Power, Long, Pingtsi, and the Violence Fiend, have all crumpled into total nervous breakdowns. When Aki asks Angel Devil where they are, the dazed devil can only confirm they have landed in Hell.

Key Events

Quanxi asks Pingtsi whether escape is possible, but the terrified fiend explains they are under the gaze of devils dwarfing even the Gun Devil in power, the Primal Fears, beings that have never tasted death. Out of sheer dread, Pingtsi begs leave to kill herself and breaks down weeping when Quanxi refuses. She cries out as one of the countless doors swings open and a single black droplet spills out and strikes the ground, the Darkness Devil. The group readies for battle as darkness floods in, and a row of horizontally split astronauts appears, kneeling in prayer. In a blink the Darkness Devil flits past them, having severed every one of their arms.

Notes

Each onlooker recoils in hushed terror as Tolka, now wholly enslaved to Santa Claus, presents Denji's heart to the Darkness Devil in trade for the strength to kill Makima. Back in the living world, Santa Claus accepts a small shred of the Darkness Devil's flesh and gulps it down whole. The chapter runs in Volume 8 within the International Assassins arc, with the Gun Devil, Pochita, and Makima all appearing only in mention.
