Summary

Sealing its deal with Santa Claus, the Darkness Devil lifts Tolka and tears his head off. Kusakabe reaches for the Stone Devil's power to resist, but the Darkness Devil simply seizes the Stone Devil and crushes it, killing him in the process. Beam uses blood from his own severed arms to revive Denji, only to be sliced to pieces moments later. Quanxi and Tamaoki move to attack and are likewise cut open, as are Power, Long, and Pingtsi.

Key Events

His mask knocked away, the Violence Fiend lashes out with a kick, but before it can land the Darkness Devil utters words in an unknown tongue and his body is riddled with holes. Denji throws himself forward to strike, yet every bone in his body is snapped before he reaches the devil and he collapses in a heap. Catching sight of Power's motionless form, Aki flashes back to Himeno, crumples, and mutters that he cannot go through this again. Still clinging to life, the Violence Fiend attacks once more and is run through by a blade the Darkness Devil conjures on the spot.

Notes

As the Violence Fiend's blood pours down, the Darkness Devil crouches low and looms directly over Aki while Angel Devil watches, helpless. The chapter is a bloodbath, claiming Pingtsi, Long, Kusakabe, Tamaoki, Beam, the Stone Devil, and the Violence Fiend, with Himeno glimpsed in flashback. It runs in Volume 8 as part of the International Assassins arc and stands as one of the series' grimmest turning points.
