Summary

Cradling Chainsaw Man with all four arms, Power faces Makima and her zombies in silence as Makima presses for the body. Inside her mind, Power revisits her bond with Denji: their first meeting, the rescue from the Bat Devil, the bath they shared, and the meal they once cooked for Aki. Rather than hand him over, she bolts, weapons rupturing from Makima and dropping her to her knees.

Fleeing through the streets, Power cuts down two devil hunters who summon the Mantis Devil, then survives a rooftop avalanche of zombies. Wounded, nude, and filthy, she stumbles onto a road, splits her hand open, and recalls her old conviction that every life was meaningless, with Denji standing as the single exception. She drags him into an alley dumpster, finally grasping why he mattered: he was her first friend.

Key Events

A vision unfolds inside the dumpster, where a human Denji and a fiend Power reunite. He tells her he needs no saving, having already lived out his dreams and found a life with her far better than his Yakuza days, insisting nothing good remains for him. Power scolds him for missing her so deeply that he gave up. She warns that devils descend to Hell upon death and return as someone else, meaning a future encounter would likely make them enemies. Still, she begs him to find that devil and befriend it so they can be buddies again, then forms a contract, trading her blood for his promise to seek out the blood devil.
