Summary
In hybrid form, Denji faces Makima across a graveyard, her ranks holding Reze, Quanxi, Katana Man, the Spear and Whip Hybrids, Miri Sugo, Barem Bridge, and scores of Public Safety. The Zombie Devil rises behind her, and clothed corpses claw out of the graves, some swinging headstones like blades, then rush him from every direction. Denji sinks his chains into the earth, rips up a massive slab, and flings it at Makima.
Katana Man and Miri leap to carve the slab apart, leaving themselves exposed; Denji drops from the debris and saws them both down. The Spear Hybrid impales his chest from behind, and as Reze and the Whip Hybrid close in, Denji spins, slashing all three using the arm-mounted chainsaws and the one on his leg before they crash down. Quanxi peppers him with arrows, and the zombies pile atop him until he is buried. Makima explains he has weakened because the world now embraces Chainsaw Man as a marketed mascot, erasing any need to fear him.
Denji saws free, only for Barem to torch the heap with his flamethrowers. Two chains then shoot from the blaze, hook headstones, and yank Denji forward to cleave Barem in half as Quanxi shields him with her arms. He slices and beheads her despite more arrows. Dropping to his knees and back, the bloodied Denji lies under Makima, who shoots a hole through her own palm with a 'Bang' and lets her blood pour into his mouth, telling him to wake so she can kill him herself.
