Baison

Baison is a middle-aged man whose broad, constant smile gives him an approachable air. He dresses in the regular police uniform, cap included, and has also been seen wearing boxing gloves, possibly for sparring at the station dojo that Masamichi Vega references.

He comes across as friendly and sociable, cheerfully greeting Unji when the boy stops by to pass word to his father that he will be away for a while. He likewise beams at Sanjome even as the man holds the Kintama.

Sometime after Rin Sawaki dropped the golden ball off at the Police Box, Sanjome came by while Baison was holding the Kintama. Unji then arrived to retrieve the jewel. Because Baison handled the ball, he very likely became sensitive to spirits as a result. During the Danmara Arc, while Unji and Vega talked at the hospital, the boy mentioned having gone to the police box to let Baison know he would be gone for a stretch. His name may be a nod to Balrog from Street Fighter, who is called Mike Bison in Japan, given Baison's stocky build and boxing gloves.
