Appearance

No one ever glimpses Ta Koshin Jo outside the armored exosuit he constantly pilots, so his true body stays hidden throughout. Since the Kur as a race share an octopus-like build, he is assumed to carry that same form beneath the machine, though it is never confirmed on the page.

Personality

What little surfaces of his nature is shown through action rather than words. He fights as a coordinated member of his unit, throwing himself into ambushes and barrages without hesitation, the disciplined cog of a wider conquest effort rather than a standout individual.

History

His record reaches back to the assault on Sumer, where he was present during the trap sprung on the all-female resistance. When the Sumerian survivor Bamora fled to Earth, the Advance Unit followed her trail and stormed the Serpo at their base, seizing their gear, records, and intelligence on the Family's abilities in hopes of speeding their plan to call down the main fleet. A stray signal from Bamora's exosuit, tripped by accident by Jiji, gave away their position.

Ta Koshin Jo was folded into Hastur's squad and sent after Okarun, cornering him on the road outside the Ayase home to harvest his kintama as fuel for their warp gate. Okarun proved far tougher than expected, wrecking the rocket launchers on his exosuit, but Hastur and the jet booster pilot eventually battered the boy down and prepared to take both him and his power. Mantisian's arrival forced the team to retreat without him. Later, when the Family pushed into the Empty Space to stop the fleet summoning, he and the jet booster pilot blocked Momo and Rokuro, spraying gunfire at them. Bamora ambushed him using her exosuit's giant, invisible form, and her follow-up strikes detonated his suit, ending him.
