Appearance

Like every Sumerian she sports a pair of antennae atop her head along with the army's regulation metal armor. Her hair is tied in a bun and parted toward the right of her face. War has left its marks: a scar beneath the left side of her jaw, another across her right cheek, and a battered, disfigured left cheek. While aboard the spaceship a bandage runs diagonally over her head to cover the right eye, and a small adhesive strip sits under the left.

Personality

Cheerful but mature, Tome carries the seasoning of a veteran who has endured countless clashes with the Space Globalists. She trades jokes nonstop with her friend Aja and pushes to stay hopeful in bleak circumstances, growing anxious when no Sumerians appear at a rendezvous and showing real courage by shielding Banga and Bamora as they flee. Rather than wither away inside a cave, her unbreakable resolve sends her advancing on the Kur to witness the sea, a sight an upbringing in a cramped mountain village had always denied her. Her sheer mental fortitude leaves her refusing to die before she sees it, however hopeless the odds. Much like Aja, she takes on an auntlike role toward Bamora, willing to give everything to shield the final child of her race, and she smokes to blunt the stress.

History

On the impoverished slopes of a Sumer mountain village, Tome grew up before the Kur arrived and she enlisted in an all-female resistance, with Banga and Aja serving as her main wartime partners. When Banga groused about minding the rescued girl Bamora, Tome pushed her to keep the child as the one who saved her and suspected the girl could be the final member of their race. Years afterward their regiment headed west toward a band of Sumerian survivors, but the meeting point proved to be a Kur ambush; only Tome, Banga, Aja, and Bamora walked away, taking shelter in a nearby cave.

Set on glimpsing the sea before her death, Tome and Aja pushed forward to make a final stand, soon joined by Banga and Bamora once Banga realized the Sumerian transport pyramid could ferry them to Idea, their people's second home. Chaos erupted at the site when the Kur shot a freed male Sumerian, forcing the four to battle toward the pyramid; missiles cut Banga down as she shielded Bamora, so Tome and Aja covered for her until they were swamped. After Banga triggered a Sumerian god exosuit that rallied the enslaved men, the pair guarded Bamora's path to the pyramid, and Tome savored the fight with the ocean finally in her view. Later, during the Space Globalists Arc, she fought beside Banga and Aja, joined by two Sumerian men, driving off the Kur high in the sky above Sumer, then slipped away on a captured ship bound for Idea and a reunion with Bamora.
