Appearance

In her yokai form she resembles a withered old woman whose reddish-brown skin is deeply creased, her thick white hair hanging long and unkempt. Her wide eyes, yellow-sclera and locked to the side, give her an unsettling stare. Victims she possesses are warped into copies of her, but with a huge fanged mouth able to bite off limbs. Once her consciousness is pulled out of Okarun, she is left to live inside a maneki-neko good-luck doll.

Personality

Turbo Granny is cruel, sadistic, and relentlessly foul-mouthed, with a crude streak; she once dangled the offer of suckling her breasts before Okarun in trade for his manhood. Fiercely proud of her speed, she bristles at being underestimated and will cheat to win, as when she counted unevenly during a game of tag to fool Momo and Okarun. Yet beneath the venom runs real tenderness. Seiko notes that she would seek out the spirits of girls who died terrible deaths to console them, the very reason she merged with the earthbound spirit in the Shono City tunnel.

History

In the present day she roamed Japan as the 100 km/hr Granny, frightening people across the country. During her wanderings she comforted the ghosts of girls who had met horrible ends, and in time she fused with an earthbound spirit inside a Shono City tunnel, cursing anyone who trespassed by stealing their reproductive organs. Her clash with Momo and Okarun ended that reign: her powers were sealed away into Okarun and her mind confined to a stuffed doll. She then agreed to help Okarun recover his kintama in exchange for the return of her abilities. Though she began as the central antagonist of the Turbo Granny Arc, she became a major supporting figure across the rest of the story.
