Summary

Momo dumps her boyfriend after he treats her as a wallet and a hookup, then admits to friends she only dated him for resembling actor Ken Takakura. Spotting a bullied boy in class, she steps in to shield him, and he repays her by ranting about unidentified aerial phenomena until she snaps. She believes in ghosts, citing her medium grandmother; he believes in aliens. Their clash becomes a wager, each heading to a haunted or UFO-linked site that night to prove the other wrong.

Key Events

Momo enters Nagi Hospital while the boy waits at a tunnel. Over the phone she recalls resenting her grandmother's medium work as a child before coming to treasure it. The boy then meets an elderly spirit, Turbo Granny, and flees on his bike as she chases him. Meanwhile, three figures corner Momo: the Serpo, aliens craving human reproductive ability, who strip and restrain her and use psychokinesis to force arousal as they prepare to harvest her organs.

Notes

The ringing phone draws Turbo Granny out, now possessing the boy, who bites off the Serpo's extraction device. Overstimulation triggers Momo's grandmother's qi-release spell, and her awakened psychokinesis frees her; she kicks the aliens away and wrecks part of the UFO. The possessed boy warns his genitals are stolen and can only be recovered at the tunnel. Both now accept that ghosts and aliens are real. Momo insists on helping him, grows flustered at a Takakura-like remark, and is left speechless to learn his name is literally Ken Takakura. This is the first chapter, in Volume 1 and the Turbo Granny Arc, adapted as Episode 1.
