Overview

This exosuit equips Hastur, who heads the Kur's forward scouting team. He already owned it back during his people's earlier raid on Sumer, and he carried it into the campaign against Earth. The machine met its end during that invasion when Okarun destroyed it. Its name nods to a god-like figure from H. P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos.

Function

The suit stands well above a typical human in height. A slender head holds enormous black eyes that flare with light whenever its spatial-carving power activates, set above tiny nostrils and a narrow slit of a mouth. A shell splits across the back of the upper body, leaving a pair of openings, with dark cords ringing the neck and trailing down to a slim midsection. Reptilian touches run throughout: a long tail, scaled three-clawed arms, metal shoulder guards, and a scale-patterned loincloth, all riding on legs that look stretched against the shorter torso. Its signature ability lets Hastur warp an opponent's spatial position in combat, and the tail doubles as a piercing weapon.

Notable Users

Hastur alone pilots the suit. Arriving with the Advance Unit to hunt the Sumerian girl Bamora, he used it to wipe out two Serpo and to strip their base of technology and data; a stray signal from Bamora's own exosuit, sent unintentionally by Jiji, then guided the unit to its quarry. He later twisted Okarun's positioning mid-fight so the Jet Booster Exosuit Kur could land the finishing strike. During the Earth invasion he drove the tail through Bamora's abdomen, dealt with Momo, and clashed again with the returning Okarun. Momo's Moe Moe Tri-Beam tore her free of the suit's pocket dimension and damaged it, after which Okarun charged straight through at full power and destroyed it. The Serpo later recovered the helmet to study the Kur's data.
