Overview

The Ta Kowasa is a humanoid exosuit worn by a Kur of the Advance Unit, who already possessed it by the invasion of Sumer. It stands about 1.8 meters in a slightly hunched bipedal posture. Following the exosuit naming convention based on octopus dishes, its name comes from takowasa, octopus with wasabi, and its motto reads leave work on time.

Function

The suit's most striking trait is a set of six mechanical limbs mounted on its back, each tipped with a hand, which it uses to restrain and grapple enemies. Its frame includes paired circles at the neck, four rings along each arm ending in dark clawed hands, circular markings on the thighs, and an elongated domed head with four holes and a chameleon like face. Beyond grabbing foes, the suit can plant its fingers into a target and absorb their energy, draining the victim toward an empty husk. That power proved its undoing against Jiji, who deliberately flooded it with refined chi until the overheated suit imploded.

Notable Users

The Advance Unit Kur piloted Ta Kowasa across the Space Globalists Arc. After arriving on Earth to find Bamora, the suit fought Okarun, who weaved through its attacks and kicked it down the field; Mantisian later sliced off one of its mechanical arms to free Okarun. At the Kur Invasion the pilot repeatedly tried to pin Aira and restrain Mantisian, only to be flung aside by her hair. When Jiji's power spiked, Ta Kowasa seized him to absorb his energy, but Jiji forced his chi outward and made the suit implode. During the invasion of Sumer the Kur retrieved exosuits crafted by Big Mama and helped torture Aja to activate the pyramid's inner mechanism.
