Smash the Typhoon's Eye!

Momo orders Jiji to fire his Evil Gun at the Typhoon Human's eye and has Unji assist, using her power to anchor both to the Mongolian Death Worm. Jiji obeys, impressing Naki with his technique, but the eye simply regrows. The storm retaliates with a burst of lightning, which Momo anticipates, telling Naki to swing the worm clear of its path. Realizing the Evil Gun cannot hurt the Typhoon Human directly, Momo recalls Okarun describing it as a living cryptid and concludes they must attack the typhoon itself. She instructs Naki to have the worm devour the frozen sharks, leaving the elder puzzling over where the voice comes from.

Naki protests the sharks will weigh the worm down, but Momo assures her it does not matter since the goal is to plunge into the eye. Jiji frets that approaching invites another lightning strike, and Naki accuses Momo of giving up and trying to drag them down with her. Momo denies this, insisting she remains focused only on killing the cryptid, and promises to settle accounts with the Kitos afterward. Naki complies but stresses she acts of her own free will. As the worm descends, Jiji warns of an incoming bolt and tells Naki to have the worm spit out the sharks, redirecting the lightning into them and sparing the worm, exactly as Momo planned by reasoning through ice and electricity.

Momo then directs the worm to slip past the eye and has Jiji fire his Evil Gun at the sea, explaining the blast can churn the cold seawater beneath the warm layer and unravel the typhoon. Jiji praises the tactic and fires, but Momo sees the blast lacks the force to disturb the frigid water and urges him to pour more power into it before the next lightning strike. Panic sets in when Naki reports the worm has run out of sharks and the storm closes in. Stepping up, Unji asks Futa to summon a giant umbrella to spin and amplify Jiji's Evil Gun, finally dissipating the Typhoon Human.

The battle between Momo's group and the Typhoon Human reaches its climax. Jiji blasts the eye, but it regenerates and fires lightning at them. Momo directs Naki to dive toward the eye and bait the electricity with the frozen sharks. They pass beneath the eye to agitate the cold and warm water layers with Jiji's Evil Gun, but it lacks the power. As the eye turns to fire, Unji merges his umbrella with Jiji's beam to scatter the Typhoon Human for good.

Running 25 pages, this chapter advances the Typhoon Human Arc of the Ultimate Yokai Saga and was released on June 17, 2025, in Volume 23. Its Japanese title is Taifū no me o Tatake!
