Dandadan chapter 199 opens after the Typhoon Human's defeat. Daiki confesses to bullying a classmate and resolves to change, then takes over piloting, while Momo, Unji, and the Evil Eye escape a giant shark and scramble back onto the plane.
Gazing out the window, Raiya is stunned to see the Typhoon Human beaten, while Daiki remembers Unji sheltering him in his apartment and pledging to help. Both wonder where Unji has gone. Daiki asks Raiya to bring him to the cockpit, mentioning his father taught him to fly. He then confesses he is unworthy of their kindness, having bullied a classmate named Toru as a child. A flashback shows young Daiki basking in praise over his dream of piloting like his dad, then mocking Toru as a future garbage collector, only for Toru to cheerfully thank him, leaving Daiki baffled. In the present, Daiki views his hardships as payback for treating Toru that way and resolves to grow into someone good, mirroring Raiya and Unji, intending to apologize to Toru and to support his friends whatever it takes. Inside the cockpit, an exhausted Seiko nearly collapses over the flight manual until Daiki arrives to take the controls.
Meanwhile, Jiji frets over how everyone will get back aboard after the storm. Spotting the Death Worm veering off, Momo asks Naki to steer it higher toward Shimane, but Naki refuses, revealing she is driving it to their hideout to use them as human sacrifices. The Evil Eye stirs inside Jiji, who forces it down. As Naki tells Jiji he too will be offered up, Juichi spots a giant shark barreling toward them, ready to swallow everyone. The shark gulps down the Kito Family and the worm, while Momo, Unji, and the Evil Eye leap clear. Enraged to meet the Kitos again, the Evil Eye strikes the shark and demands they face him. Falling through the air, Momo tells Unji to use his umbrellas, but he has spent both, so she has the two grab each other while she forms a parachute with her powers. It fails to slow them, yet Momo sees the plane returning. Bamora relays Jiji and Unji's position to Seiko and urges her to hold speed, leaving Seiko grateful but puzzled how Bamora knew. While the Evil Eye and Unji tussle, Momo uses her powers to fasten all three onto the plane's roof.
Daiki owns up to bullying Toru and vows to improve, modeling himself on Raiya and Unji so he can someday apologize. Having trained on his father's flight simulators as a boy, he takes over piloting. A megalodon swallows both the Kitos and the Tsuchinoko Hatchling, and the Evil Eye boots them upward while trying to kill them. Momo shapes a parachute, and with Bamora's directions relayed to Daiki, the group lands back on the plane.
