Back at the Ayase residence, Momo insists Okarun stay so she can see to his injuries, wincing that the wounds hurt her just to look at. A delighted Bamora invites him to dinner, and Momo agrees he may as well remain. Over the meal the pair keep stealing glances, then deny it, sparking a squabble Bamora reads as friendliness. While washing up, Momo asks about the Serpo, and Okarun says they are aliens, counted among 86 known species, who steal human genitalia, though even he had never met the odd mummy-whale they fought. They hunt people's powers, or curses, he says, noting he has none now, and tells Momo to stay close to History and Culture Research Club members like Jiji or Aira. Teasing him over Aira, Momo jokes she would not interfere. He challenges her, they lock eyes, and when she looks away first he claims victory, then reveals it is her own earlier rule: whoever makes the other break may order them around. Momo denies inventing it, even as Bamora confirms it. Okarun cashes in by asking her on a date, which jolts her into refusing and demanding a rematch. As it begins, Bamora notes their stares look like the prelude to a kiss, making Momo glance aside and giving Okarun the win again.

Following the recent clash with the Serpo and Mr. Dris, Okarun has his wounds tended at the Ayase home. Bamora cooks dinner and invites him to share it with her and Momo. He fills the amnesiac Momo in on aliens and powers. A staring-contest win lets Okarun talk Momo into agreeing to a date.
