The fortieth chapter sees Jiji come to pity the Evil Eye and unknowingly strike a bargain with him, surrendering his body to the vengeful spirit, who promptly turns on the Tsuchinoko and swears to exterminate all of mankind.
Momo struggles to wrench the Evil Eye away from Jiji, but he urges her to stop, having decided from the visions that the spirit is good and has long borne quiet suffering. She trails Jiji as he hurries to the base of the stacked generational dwellings where the Evil Eye's body rests, grasping that he has been shielding it during his confinement below. Arriving there, she steps into a dispute between Turbo Granny and Jiji over trusting the spirit, until the Tsuchinoko, having given up its pursuit of an exhausted Okarun, jolts them with electricity and seals them in phlegm. Momo readies an escape with Jiji, then turns to find him out cold. In his mind, Jiji confronts the Evil Eye from his childhood imprisonment, apologizes for misjudging him, and consents to play as the spirit longed for, delighting it. The pact takes hold, and Jiji shrieks in pain. As the worm descends to devour Momo and Turbo Granny, the Evil Eye, now wearing Jiji's body, strikes it back and declares his intent to wipe out all of humanity.
Jiji at last grasps why the Evil Eye sought his notice and resolves to help the spirit. He descends to the lair's first altar, where the dead child's body still lies. Turbo Granny shrieks at him to withhold his trust just as the Great Serpent shocks the group and smothers them in phlegm. Within a vision, Jiji meets the young boy and pledges to keep him company for as long as the child wishes. Without realizing it he seals a pact, and the Evil Eye assumes his body, battering the Mongolian Death Worm aside before it can feed. Inhabiting Jiji now, the spirit proclaims his goal to slaughter every human.

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....

Five Bleach female characters, ranked and settled. Yoruichi sits at number five, the spot nobody expects, and our number one is an Arrancar with a soft heart....
