Summary

Thanks to Seiko's findings, Momo grasps the pattern controlling Jiji: cold water unleashes the Evil Eye, while a dousing of hot water restores him. When she kicks Jiji for treating the danger lightly, Taro, still wrapped around the boy, feels the blow and grumbles that the arrangement is eating into his time with Hana. Seiko imposes a curfew on the couple and apologizes to the teens for dragging them into the mess. Turbo Granny scoffs that none of them can truly leash a yokai this revered, and that the spirit is merely an infant who will grow more dangerous. Seiko hands hot water thermoses to Momo and Okarun, tasks herself and Manjiro with watching Jiji in the city, and warns him off any cold water.

A hospital visit to Jiji's parents follows, with an awkward, tender hand moment shared between Momo and Okarun in the car. Television news confirms the village wildfire is contained and the Kito Family arrested, though the clan's head, Naki Kito, remains at large.
