Get a Part-Time Job

Through the night, Okarun trails Jiji to the bathroom and posts himself at the door, wary that cold tap water could let the Evil Eye loose, then steers him clear of dew gathering on the loose cardboard patching the walls. When Jiji apologizes for the bother, Okarun brushes it off, recalling how Seiko and Momo cared for him after Turbo Granny's curse. He remembers Seiko refusing his money and asking only that he pass the kindness on, an example that made him want to become like her.

Over breakfast and on the walk to school, Momo tells Miko and Kei she plans to take a part-time job to fund the house repairs, and Kei points her toward a position opening at Ririna's place. Miko and Kei then collect Okarun from class and march him to a maid cafe. Inside, he is thrown to find Momo in a maid uniform, an embarrassment she shares right back on seeing him.

Assigned to wait on the trio, Momo is teased mercilessly by her two friends, who snap a photo as the group performs the cafe's signature charm, the "Moe Moe Tri-Beam." The chapter introduces the cafe waitress and Rin Sawaki. Part of Volume 7, it was split across Episode 18 (pages 1 to 15) and Episode 19 (pages 16 to 19).
