Summary

Okarun warns Momo that an unseen presence lurks within the kintama, and when the orb flees, the pair give chase while Kinta is left guarding their bags on Momo's orders. Pinning the invisible thing proves nearly impossible as it shifts to defense, and the two are forced to catch Kinta when it tries to drop him from the building. Refusing to stand aside, the classmate charges the entity but cannot land a hit. Even so, he works out how its invisibility functions and tells Momo and Okarun that the creature can be glimpsed from three angles at once. Drawing on her psychic ability, Momo swings around the side of the structure to make out a faint outline, grabs hold of it, and lets Okarun ram it at top speed, knocking the entity clear of the building. Momo praises Kinta for spotting the flaw, and he explains the science of invisibility from his genre expertise. The two then peer down in alarm to see the thing has the shape of a monster.

Key Events

Okarun and Momo pursue the specter and fail to stop it, then hear Kinta's screams as the creature dangles him off the balcony. Once rescued, Kinta slips behind the entity and declares it uses retro-reflective projection, meaning it becomes visible when viewed from three vantage points.

His deduction proves right, letting Momo seize the creature so Okarun can go all-out and launch it from the building. Knocked unconscious, the specter drops its invisibility and is revealed as a kaiju.
