Aoi Kanzaki is a member of the Demon Slayer Corps who works at the Butterfly Mansion rather than fighting on the front lines. She tends to injured slayers and supports their recovery instead of facing demons directly.
Aoi stands at an average height as a young woman with pale skin and large deep blue eyes that lighten toward the bottom, set with white rectangular pupils. Her straight black hair is parted at the front and worn in twin tails, and her thin, arched eyebrows are usually drawn into a frown. Two white butterfly ornaments, trimmed in blue and dotted with turquoise, hold her twin tails in place.
Over the standard Corps uniform she wears a white nurse's dress with a blue sash at the waist. Her uniform carries a faint blue tint and is paired with blue-strapped zori and white tabi socks. The jacket bears silver buttons and the character for Destroy on the back, worn over a white collared undershirt with matching tattsuke-hakama trousers.
Aoi is firm, exacting, and serious, carrying a brisk no-nonsense attitude almost constantly. She is efficient at her duties in the mansion, quickly silencing a grumbling Zenitsu and insisting he take his medicine regardless of its taste. Her temperament resembles a younger Shinobu Kocho, loud and openly expressive, and she often appears irritated.
She does reveal softer feelings at times, admitting she enjoyed the company of the recovering trio and weeping over Inosuke's grave injuries. Aoi also carries deep insecurity about her worth as a slayer, crediting her survival of Final Selection to luck and calling herself a coward for being too afraid to fight. Beneath the gruff manner she is genuinely kind, doing her best to aid those who come to the Butterfly Mansion to heal.
Having passed the Final Selection, Aoi possesses fighting skill and physical conditioning above that of an ordinary person. She is not on the level of active slayers such as Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke, or Kanao, since she devotes herself to caregiving at the mansion rather than to missions and combat training.
Trained by Shinobu Kocho, Aoi can prepare many of the simpler medicines and apply them to treat her patients. She is also a capable craftsperson, skilled enough to repair Nezuko's wooden carrying box after it is damaged by Sanemi Shinazugawa's blade. During her Final Selection she practiced Water Breathing, but she set the style aside afterward, convinced her survival was only good fortune.

Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle earned $778 million globally and nearly 40 billion yen in Japan, but it still couldn't top Mugen Train's domestic record. Here's why that barely matters....

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....
