Personality

The Horned Demon is proud and self-assured, attacking Inosuke on sight and boasting that he will soon feast on his flesh while mockingly praising his strikes. His confidence runs deep enough that he physically takes on Kyogai, even tearing off one of that demon's drums.

That same arrogance proves his undoing, however, since he underestimates Inosuke and shows little skill at judging an opponent before committing to a fight.

History

Within the Tsuzumi Mansion the Horned Demon, together with the Tongue Demon, clashes with Kyogai over who will get to devour Kiyoshi, a boy prized for his rare Marechi blood. During the struggle the Horned Demon rips away one of Kyogai's drums, which Kiyoshi snatches and uses to escape, after which the three demons roam the halls hunting for him.

Later, while running through the corridors, Inosuke is nearly seized by the Horned Demon at a corner. The demon calls him fresh prey and lunges again, but Inosuke severs both of its arms and uses Beast Breathing, Third Fang: Devour to take off its head. His enhanced strength is shown by his ability to tear out Kyogai's drum and to crush solid wood with a grip. The encounter is told in Chapter 23 and Episode 12.
