Personality

Though demons took her family from her, Kiyo remains warm and cheerful, sharing that disposition with the other mansion attendants. She offers Tanjiro snacks during his recovery and, alongside Sumi and Naho, agrees to swat him with cloth beaters whenever he lets his breathing lapse in his sleep, a part of his rehabilitation.

She frets openly over the health of those in her care, warning Tanjiro that a lingering fever would force her to fetch Shinobu. Her loyalty to her fellow residents runs deep, and she wept when Kanae died, later praying for Shinobu and Kanao as they went into battle.

History

After demons attacked her home, Kiyo was taken in by the Kocho sisters and raised at the Butterfly Mansion together with Sumi, Naho, and Aoi. She grieved alongside the household when Kanae was slain.

During the rehabilitation arc she joins Sumi and Naho in helping Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu heal after their ordeal at Mount Natagumo. Though she shows no fighting talent, Kiyo and the other attendants pass on the technique of constant Total Concentration Breathing to Tanjiro, proof that they hold genuine knowledge of breathing methods and slayer training.
