Shigeru Kamado

Shigeru was a young boy with light skin and dark red eyes whose irises lighten toward the bottom and darken at the top, a trait shared across the Kamado family. He wore his black hair in a buzz cut.

His outfit was a light green and black patterned kimono layered with a light green haori, with a white nagajuban worn underneath.

Shigeru was deeply attached to his brother Tanjiro, eager to tag along wherever he went and to copy whatever he did. Like the rest of his siblings, he was disappointed whenever Tanjiro or his mother told him he could not join the trip into town.

Shigeru grew up on the mountain with his mother and siblings as the second youngest of the Kamado children. In Chapter 1 he and his sister Hanako beg to come along on Tanjiro's charcoal-selling trip to town, but their mother Kie holds them back, saying they would slow him down. While Tanjiro is away, the family is attacked and killed, leaving only Nezuko, who survives as a demon.

Shigeru reappears in Tanjiro's mind during Final Selection, helping him stay conscious against the Hand Demon. Aboard the Mugen Train, Enmu's dream traps Tanjiro in a reunion with his deceased family, and Shigeru is among those he must leave behind to wake. His death is also revisited in Nezuko's memories during the Entertainment District Arc and again in the Sunrise Countdown Arc, when she recalls the night Muzan slaughtered the family.
