A towering brute who guarded Mount Natagumo as the supposed father of the Spider Family, this demon answered only to Rui and threw his enormous strength at any Slayer who climbed the mountain looking for the nest.
Of the entire false family, this demon was the tallest and most heavily muscled. His skin ran a dark brown, marked with the same scattered red dots his relatives wore, the pattern spreading from his shoulders down each arm. He shared the white hair common to the group, kept far longer than the others and falling past his shoulders. What set him apart was his head, which looked like an actual spider rather than a person, fitted with many eyes, ragged fangs, and a pair of pincers in place of a mouth.
After molting, he turned green and grew blade-shaped spurs along his arms and legs. His hair fell away, his fangs sharpened, his mandibles grew bolder, and five spikes rose from his brow. The change also pushed his eye count from nine up to eighteen.
He was savage, hostile, and hungry for blood. He clung to his role as protector, repeatedly warning Tanjiro Kamado and Inosuke Hashibira to leave his family alone even as he tried to kill them, and he prowled Mount Natagumo on watch for intruders rather than hiding like his relatives. Yet that devotion was hollow. He had beaten the demon cast as his wife many times, attacking her simply for being weaker than expected and never explaining himself.
His obedience to Rui was absolute, but it came from a different place than the others. Where his fake wife and daughter submitted out of terror, he seemed to lack the wits to question anything at all, and Rui treated him as a mindless enforcer more than a true patriarch.
Although he never belonged to the Twelve Kizuki, he stood far above the ordinary demon and was easily the second strongest of the Spider Family. He withstood the combined assault of Tanjiro and Inosuke without breaking, and his role as the nest's hunter reflected both his strength and his usefulness to Rui.
His durability was striking, likely a product of Muzan's blood passed down through Rui and his sheer bulk; the two Slayers struggled to cut his arms. For his size he moved with surprising speed, repeatedly catching the pair off guard. His strength let him shatter trees and boulders, swing trunks like weapons, and hurl opponents great distances. By shedding his skin he could molt into a fiercer body with greater power and faster regeneration. Even so, the Water Hashira Giyu Tomioka ended him in a single decisive strike in Chapter 37.

Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle earned $778 million globally and nearly 40 billion yen in Japan, but it still couldn't top Mugen Train's domestic record. Here's why that barely matters....

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....
