Key Events

The poisoned gambit

His blade igniting with Hinokami Kagura, Tanjiro begins cutting into Gyutaro's neck. Zenitsu frees himself from rubble and uses Thunderclap and Flash, Godlike Speed to reach Daki, while Inosuke survives the chest wound by shifting his organs.

Marks and a final eruption

Tengen returns by stopping his own heart to halt the poison, reads Gyutaro's blood blades as a song, and clashes with him at blinding speed. Tanjiro awakens his Demon Slayer Mark and the trio severs both heads together. The two demon heads come to rest facing one another, but Gyutaro's body then detonates in a vast burst of blood blades that engulfs the district.

Notes

The episode is named after chapter 93, and the eyecatchers recreate that chapter's cover. The anime has Gyutaro appear only after Tanjiro surveys the burning district, and it depicts Tanjiro fleeing to lure the demon rather than sitting still. Zenitsu's Godlike Speed is shown as a streak of lightning across the sky, and the clash between Tengen and Gyutaro is greatly extended, ending with the demon's attack rendered as both a wave of blades and a massive explosion.
