Kasugai Crows are the talking birds the Demon Slayer Corps uses to pass orders. Each one is paired with a single slayer and carries mission details to them, speaking in loud but limited human sentences as a living messenger service for the entire organization.
Kasugai Crows are crows kept by the Demon Slayer Corps mainly for communication (Chapter 8). Every member is assigned one, and the bird's chief job is to deliver mission orders to its designated slayer. What sets them apart is their ability to form full sentences, though their speech tends to be loud and restricted in range.
Most look and sound much alike, but there are exceptions. Muichiro Tokito's crow has feminine eyelashes and usually speaks normally, while Zenitsu Agatsuma's messenger is in fact a sparrow rather than a crow and cannot truly talk at all. A few crows even dress to resemble their owners, such as the birds belonging to Tengen Uzui and Mitsuri Kanroji.
Each crow carries two names over its life: a childhood name given by the current Oyakata, and a second name received later from the Corps member it is assigned to. If that member dies, the crow may be reassigned, and the name granted by the former owner is still respected. Some crows prefer the name the Oyakata gave them, while others, like Tanjiro's, choose to name themselves.
The leader of the Corps relies on numerous crows to stay informed of every member's actions and of demon activity across the country. A standout example is Kagaya Ubuyashiki's personal crow, an unnamed bird with a booming voice and refined speech who even tracked down Tamayo's hideout by studying the previous owner of her house and the workings of Yushiro's Blood Demon Art.
Many crows are named and tied to specific slayers. Tanjiro Kamado's intelligent and self-important crow is Matsuemon Tennoji, while Zenitsu's sparrow is Ukogi, nicknamed Chuntaro. Others include Dongurimaru for Inosuke Hashibira, Isuzu for Kanao Tsuyuri, Kanzaburo for Giyu Tomioka, Nijimaru for Tengen Uzui, Ginko for Muichiro Tokito, and Urara for Mitsuri Kanroji. After the war with Muzan the crows were freed to live as they pleased, and in the aftermath Tanjiro's Matsuemon and Muichiro's Ginko eventually paired off together.

Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle earned $778 million globally and nearly 40 billion yen in Japan, but it still couldn't top Mugen Train's domestic record. Here's why that barely matters....

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....
