Battle in Paradise! Odd Beast vs. The Monster!

As Kushina thanks Naruto and fades away, he clings to her parting words and wakes inside the Tailed Beast Temple. A wordless fist bump lets him share the encounter with Killer B, baffling Yamato, and his Nine-Tails Chakra Mode instantly picks up Kisame lurking within Samehada. Kisame grasps that Naruto can feel his hatred and admits to Killer B that the enemy he and the Raikage once beheaded was merely a Parasite Clone.

Kisame bolts to escape with the intelligence he has gathered. Naruto's blindingly fast kick, likened to the Yellow Flash himself, nearly ends the chase, but he overexerts and sprains his ankle, letting Kisame slip away as Killer B gives pursuit. Kisame crashes through the Falls of Truth, where Guy mistakes him for his own inner self and boots him into a wall. The swordsman drains most of Killer B's chakra through Samehada and shrugs off Aoba's stone needles, then seals himself inside a water shark and races for the ocean.

Guy opens his Sixth Gate and, launched skyward by Killer B, summons Ningame in mid-air as a foothold to keep pace. When Kisame hides the intel-carrying shark among a thousand summoned duplicates, Guy scatters most of them with Morning Peacock and dives after him, opening the Seventh Gate. Certain his next strike cannot fail, Kisame unleashes his great shark bullet, only for Guy's Daytime Tiger to blast straight through the technique that was meant to grow stronger by absorbing chakra.

Set during the countdown to the Fourth Shinobi World War, the episode stages a taijutsu showcase as Guy climbs through the Eight Gates against Kisame's water techniques. Much of the jutsu animation here diverges from how the same moves are drawn in the manga.
