Kawaki drives off Code after slaying Boruto, then Boruto returns to life fully Otsutsuki, and the two boys reach a private understanding at the Hokage Rock that seeds their destined clash. It closes the first part of the Boruto anime.
Cradling Boruto's body, Naruto tries in vain to rouse him. Code reels at the killing done by Kawaki's hand and at the reappearance of his Karma, while Ada cautions against feeding Kawaki to the God Tree in Boruto's place. When Code threatens to end Shikamaru if Kawaki draws near, Kawaki shows no concern, so Code frees the strategist and bolts. Kawaki halts him by shrinking his Claw Marks, taunts him over the lengths he will go to shield Naruto, and blasts him at point-blank range, only to be knocked out when Code pulls Daemon through to reflect the strike.
Ada bristles at Daemon being roused without her say, and Code, admitting he cannot yet best Kawaki, backs off. Shikamaru bluffs that reinforcements are inbound, and an exhausted Code chooses not to gamble, departing with a demand that Amado strip his limiters. To everyone's shock, Boruto stirs and asks who has died. New markings cover his torso, and Momoshiki speaks to him, explaining that as his vessel Boruto anchors his soul, so he rebuilt the boy's destroyed body using the last unextracted Karma. That act means Momoshiki can no longer resurrect through the seal, yet leaves Boruto fully Otsutsuki and thus a viable sacrifice for a God Tree.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

Naruto built the transformation jutsu himself, and the Hidden Leaf has been quietly not talking about it ever since. The story behind our 90s R&B record about the Naruko question everybody dodges....
Kawaki wakes in the hospital under Sumire's care, puzzled he is not imprisoned, and confesses he was glad, for once, to still carry his restored Karma. Ada reminds Code that she will discard him the moment he becomes useless or a nuisance. Later, Boruto and Kawaki meet atop the Hokage Rock and weigh what everyone means to each of them, Kawaki set on removing every threat to Naruto and Boruto set on proving Momoshiki wrong. A flashforward glimpses the start of their battle there. This installment ends the first part of the Boruto anime and, unlike earlier episodes, carries no preview for what follows.
