With Boruto set to guard Kawaki and Himawari, Naruto squares off against Delta, who berates Kawaki for risking a body that belongs to Kara. When she refuses to answer his questions, Naruto goads her into attacking. She unleashes beams from her eyes, which he stops with a Big Ball Rasengan, and as she starts drawing it in, he escalates the jutsu larger and larger. Boruto grasps at once what his father is really attempting.

Rather than out-muscle her absorption, Naruto means to flood it past capacity. Her internal machinery overheats and her eyes shut down, since anything she pulls in has to be stored somewhere and that store has a ceiling. Boasting of his enormous chakra, he dodges her physical rush and drops a Super-Ultra-Big Ball Rasengan on her, blasting a crater into the ground.

The children cheer Delta's defeat, but before Naruto can have her interrogated her body triggers a self-destruct, and he shields the kids from the explosion. Her drone escapes, observed through a toad by Koji, who judges Naruto's strength still short of the goal and pins his hopes on prying the secrets of the Kāma from Boruto. In another village, Boro and his followers heal a couple's sick son, then sell them on salvation through the Infinite Tsukuyomi to swell his cult. Code arrives with Amado's summons for maintenance; Boro stalls but yields under threat of force. At Kara's base, a freshly recharged Jigen notes his sessions are growing more frequent, and with no word on the Vessel he confirms his mole remains hidden, which Amado privately swears to keep that way.

Episode 199 of the Boruto anime falls within the Kawaki Arc and adapts chapters 33 and 34 of the manga. It premiered in Japan on 16 May 2021 and in English on 10 January 2023. The opening theme is BAKU and the ending theme is Sign That You Were There.
