Sarada Uchiha

Watching Boruto deface the Hokage Rock from a distance, Sarada notes how many of her classmates spend their days training beside their fathers. When Naruto dispatches a shadow clone to catch the vandal, Sarada throws it off Boruto's trail at his request, and she quickly reads his stunt as a bid to make his father notice him, which he flatly denies. Shikamaru pins Boruto with his shadow and scolds him for tying up even a clone of the Hokage, remarking on how alike father and son really are before having Shikadai recall Naruto's copy. Over a meal with Chocho, Sarada begins to question what the point of becoming a ninja even is as graduation looms.

Chocho, dragged into training by an embarrassing Choji, muses that she takes after neither parent and asks whether Sarada resembles her own father. Sarada admits she has never met him. At home, a photo of Sasuke blurs her vision, and at dinner she grills Sakura for real answers, growing frustrated when none come. After researching the Uchiha, she pushes harder, even asking whether her parents are truly married. Sakura's startled outburst and a ground-cracking slam frighten Sarada, and though her mother apologizes and swears they are bound together, a stray punch levels the house and knocks Sakura out, sending Shizune to rush her to the hospital.

Sifting the wreckage for family photos, Sarada finds that the picture of Sasuke actually shows Taka and puzzles over the bespectacled woman beside him. At the hospital she learns from Shizune that no local records document her birth. A conversation with Chocho, who doubts Choji and Karui are truly her parents, sparks the idea of a journey, prompting Sarada to resolve to seek Sasuke out and put the question to him directly. Elsewhere, Sasuke steps out of a dimensional portal and is set upon by a hooded assailant. The episode adapts chapters 701 and 702.
