Serie's parting shot bars Frieren from every magic association building for a thousand years, and one of Serie's own disciples comes seeking a duel to carve his master's memory into history. Frieren refuses the fight, certain that beneath her prickliness Serie never forgets a single student.
As Fern tries to bring her companions to the ceremony, the receptionist reveals that Serie has barred Frieren from every Continental Magic Association building for the next thousand years, offended by her conduct in the interview. Stark waits outside with Frieren while Fern attends, and there Lernen, a first-class mage and pupil of Serie, introduces himself and then attacks. He means to be remembered as the slayer of the legendary Frieren so that some proof of Serie's existence will outlast him.
Frieren blocks but cannot fully stop the spell, taking a wound to her shoulder, and she turns down his demand for a duel. She insists Serie is simply too childish to admit her feelings, certain the Great Mage recalls every apprentice she ever took. The next morning the party makes its farewells around Ausserst and sets out north, and Fern notices how lightly Frieren parts from people, just as Himmel once did.
The receptionist tells the group that Serie has forbidden Frieren from entering any association facility for the next thousand years. Outside, Frieren reflects that fewer than fifty mages have ever attained first-class rank and predicts Fern will be famous for generations. Lernen duels Frieren and wounds her shoulder before she declines to continue. Frieren, Fern, and Stark then bid Ausserst farewell, Kanne and Lawine among them, and travel onward to the north.
Lernen, who can perceive the instability in Frieren's mana, was told by Serie that he would have left his mark had he been born in the age of war; the only student of hers to truly do so was the Great Mage Flamme. A flashback to Frieren's interview shows Serie quietly confessing that although Flamme and every disciple after her fell short of her level, she vividly remembers each one's character and favorite spell and has never once regretted teaching them. At the ceremony Fern receives the Spotless Clothing Magic, a spell said to date to the mythical age, which Frieren takes as proof that Serie is a living grimoire. Recalling how lightly Himmel said his goodbyes, Frieren explains that a tearful parting only makes a reunion awkward.

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....

Five Bleach female characters, ranked and settled. Yoruichi sits at number five, the spot nobody expects, and our number one is an Arrancar with a soft heart....
