Michi Manabe

She clearly favors her father, sharing his dark brown hair and much of his face, while her light brown eyes come from her mother. Tall and slim, she wears her straight, chin-length hair pulled into a high ponytail, parted down the middle with a pair of locks loose beside her cheeks. The standard Kaibara High uniform is her usual outfit.

Bright, playful, and endlessly sociable, Michi strikes up conversations with strangers and makes friends in a heartbeat. She wears her feelings openly, speaks her mind without hesitation, and shows plenty of affection, but she is also blunt, headstrong, and a little childish, forever teasing and needling people until her own brother accuses her of talking nonsense. That mischief hides a genuinely capable and independent streak; she shoulders problems on her own, spoils Mutsuki and Kou like a proper elder sister, and quietly takes pride in her relatives while nudging them to do better.

Michi first crosses paths with Sawa Mitoma while heading to the student council room to drop something off for Mutsuki. Once he arrives, she cheerfully ropes Sawa into a sukiyaki gathering at Mutsuki's place, reasoning that her family bought far too much meat anyway. Hajime Sohma cuts in to scold her for inviting herself over, and she shoots back that anything belonging to Mutsuki belongs to her too; after the pair reveal it as a joke, the group heads off together, with Sora Sohma and Riku Sohma tagging along. As cousins raised as siblings, she and Mutsuki are exceptionally close and love to gang up on Hajime, while she treats Sora with the same warmth she would a little sister.
