Prisoner FE40536: Jolyne Cujoh

After a greeting from the warden Loccobarocco, Jolyne is placed in a cell with Gwess, who attacks her to claim the lower bunk. Among Gwess's belongings Jolyne recognizes the pendant her father sent her; Gwess claims she bought it cheaply from another inmate and demands a wildly inflated price to give it back. That night Gwess seems to soften, apologizing and letting Jolyne hold the pendant, but Jolyne later finds the photo from inside it discarded in the cafeteria trash. She also spots Gwess's pet bird sprouting tiny human arms.

When Jolyne swaps the bird for a banana to investigate, two human arms tumble out, and she deduces that Gwess drew a Stand from the same pendant. Before she can act, Gwess's Stand, Goo Goo Dolls, shrinks her and dresses her in a rat's hide, renaming her "Chorokichi" and forcing her to scout an escape route through the control room. Jolyne discovers that her body regrows the farther she strays from Gwess and bolts, prompting Goo Goo Dolls to chase her for abandoning the rat corpse. She manifests Stone Free, crushes the enemy Stand, and forces Gwess to appear. Gwess pretends to return the pendant but drops it and shoves Jolyne through the bars, calling a guard to shoot her; restored to full size, Jolyne can no longer fit back through. She thrashes Gwess with Stone Free and slips past the guards, then lies awake that night gazing at the photo of her parents.

The wiki entry documents no manga-to-anime differences for this episode. In the trivia, the localized subtitles call Gwess's Stand "G.G. Dolls," while the English dub first named it "Cry Cry Dolls" before a later redub aligned it with the subtitle version, and a line where Gwess insults Jolyne was re-recorded in the same pass.
