Goku and Android 8 find themselves in a dark room littered with skeletons, the remains of previous victims. General White taunts them from above, demanding Goku hand over his Dragon Radar and Dragon Ball. When Goku refuses, White seals the hatch and opens a wall panel, revealing Buyon, a grotesque, blubbery monster munching on animal carcasses.

Nothing Works

Goku launches his attack, but every punch and kick simply bounces off Buyon's elastic body. The monster's rubbery flesh absorbs all impact, sending Goku ricocheting across the room. Even a direct Kamehameha bounces harmlessly off Buyon's belly. The creature fires antenna beams and swings its massive bulk with surprising speed, keeping Goku constantly on the defensive.

Cold Snap Victory

Desperate for a solution, Goku gets an idea. He punches a hole through the exterior wall, letting the arctic winds rush in. As the freezing air fills the room, Goku tucks himself inside Android 8's jacket for warmth and waits. Buyon, with no protection from the cold, gradually freezes solid. Once the monster is completely encased in ice, Goku leaps out and delivers a single devastating kick that shatters Buyon into pieces. He then uses his Power Pole to lift himself and Android 8 back up to General White's floor.

Buyon is the first opponent in Dragon Ball that Goku cannot defeat through raw power alone. The Kamehameha bouncing off the monster's body is a shocking moment, proving that brute force has limits. It forces Goku to think creatively, a skill he rarely needs at this point in the series.

The Freezing Strategy

Goku's solution of using the environment rather than his fists is genuinely clever. Punching through the wall to weaponize the arctic cold shows a tactical awareness that goes beyond simple fighting instinct. The image of little Goku huddled inside Eighter's coat while they wait for the freeze is both funny and endearing.

The Shattering Kick

The final kick that explodes Buyon into frozen fragments is deeply satisfying after an entire episode of failed attacks. The contrast between the unstoppable rubbery mass and the brittle frozen shell makes the payoff all the more dramatic.

Buyon represents Muscle Tower's ultimate line of defense, a creature so durable that no previous intruder has survived the encounter. The skeletons on the floor tell a grim story of everyone who came before Goku.

Suno's subplot with the small furry animals in her bedroom is entirely anime-exclusive, providing a lighthearted contrast to the intense battle below. The monster Suno's father mentioned in the previous episode almost certainly referred to Buyon, adding retroactive context to his warning.
