Ant De Bonham

Bonham is a heavyset man with dark skin, his hair worn in dreadlocks that whip out wildly behind him and a short, peaked beard along his jaw. He keeps an open yellow shirt decorated with four-leaf clovers, paired with dark grey trousers and black shoes, and drapes the regulation Marine cape over the whole ensemble. His friendliness tends toward the overwhelming, since he greets allies like Grount with bone-crushing hugs and slaps meant as affection, and he hungers for a chance to clash with pirates, even turning that eagerness into a rivalry with his comrade.

Belonging to the Longarm Tribe, Bonham has elongated, double-jointed arms, and his bulk grants him enormous raw strength, enough to hoist Grount off his feet and bowl him over with nothing but playful blows. He sharpens his physique further through a Qigong discipline called Breath Qigong, which boosts both his power and his speed. Above all he prides himself on the Six Powers, declaring himself a prodigy of the martial art. He wields Shigan to puncture metal and timber, Rankyaku to slice a couch in two, Soru to cut off Luffy and Carrot's escape, and Tekkai to shrug off a Jet Pistol while only being knocked back.

Bonham, All-Hunt Grount, and Shimoi Zappa all served under Aokiji before the admiral resigned from the Marines. When Grount transferred to the Fron Island base, Bonham welcomed him at the cafeteria, and the alarm soon sounded over Luffy's intrusion. He traded blows with Luffy, who kept slipping past him, then joined Grount and Zappa in chasing the intruders to the storehouse, where Chopper eventually turned the tables on his Six Powers.

As the fight spilled toward the coast, Bonham scolded Grount for sulking, invoking Aokiji's old lessons, and arrived in time to catch the defeated Prodi. He and Zappa squared off against Luffy once more but fell quickly. After Grount's own defeat sent the Straw Hats off the island, the trio vowed to triumph at their next meeting. Bonham later appears with his comrades among the Marines storming Delta Island during the Pirates Festival in One Piece: Stampede.
