Senior Centipede

True to his name, Senior Centipede was an enormous centipede, his body spanning roughly four meters across. Unlike Junior Centipede, he was sheathed head to tail in plating, dark blue along the top and lighter blue below. His actual face sat tucked away, seemingly cradled inside the open mouth of another head.

The monster carried himself with real confidence in his own power. When he sensed he held the upper hand over a foe, a cruel, sadistic streak came out in the way he fought.

Sometime before the story, he crossed paths with Junior Centipede and grew close to the fellow centipede monster. During the Monster Raid Arc, he burst up from underground just before Metal Bat could finish Junior off, driving the hero, the Association's sponsor Narinki, and the sponsor's son Waganma out of a restaurant. Rafflesidon then surfaced and loosed sleeping gas that dropped both Narinki and his boy, leaving Metal Bat to face two Demon-level monsters alone in S-City.

As the two monsters fought him, Metal Bat slipped under hypnosis from Rafflesidon's fumes, and Senior Centipede hammered him without pause. The hero eventually shook off the trance and cut the monster down with one blow. His strength was formidable, enough to wound Metal Bat, hurl him across a distance, and shatter concrete, and he moved with startling speed both above ground and while burrowing beneath it. His carapace formed his main defense; according to the creators, only Genos's upgraded attacks could pierce it. Like Elder Centipede, he could molt, growing larger and stronger and gaining a new face with each shed, and in battle he favored close-quarters brawling, ringing a target with his body to strike from every side in his Centipede March.
