Rather than dive for shelter, he stays exposed, knowing the shooter can strike accurately from as far as eight kilometers. Kamihate carries the Guinness distinction for the longest confirmed kill and ranks as the sole Japanese name among the planet's hundred deadliest killers. When the next shot is lined up, Sakamoto stalls by raising a picture of a broadcast weather presenter, and the round goes wide. The sniper's fondness for weather personalities, tied to how vital atmospheric readings are to his craft, throws off his aim.

Closing on the shooter's position, Sakamoto lays out how he intends to bring the gunman down and claim the exhibition pass, only to catch a bullet in his right arm along the route. With the group cornered, Heisuke shows up and pours fire into Kamihate's hideout, telling the others he will finish this fight by himself. A past rescue reveals Kamihate cleared out an ambush from about four kilometers away. Sakamoto recognizes the sniper and refuses cover, aware of the eight kilometer accuracy range. A photo of a weather presenter spoils a shot thanks to Kamihate's soft spot for them. Sakamoto is hit in the right arm while advancing on the position. Heisuke arrives and takes over the duel, vowing to face Kamihate solo.

Kamihate is established as a record holder for long distance shooting and the only Japanese assassin among the world's top hundred. The chapter draws its title from his name. The flashback sequence features Hyo, Nagumo, Kumanomi, and Shishiba, while the present day scenes involve Sakamoto's group and Heisuke's intervention. It belongs to Volume 16.
