Sam's Friend

The accomplice goes unnamed and undescribed beyond being a human male robber, glimpsed alive only during the failed heist and afterward as a skeleton hanging beside Sam's.

Where Sam brushes off the danger, his friend is the wary one, uneasy the moment he senses Darkwing nearby and quick to point him out. That cautious streak does him no good against the vigilante, and he puts up little resistance once caught.

During the Midnight City break-in, the friend was the first to notice Darkwing perched on a water tank and muttered a warning as Sam forced the door. His alarm proved justified: Darkwing swiftly overpowered him, hurled him into a nearby door, and strung him up beside Sam on the tanks while interrogating them about their boss. After being called away, Darkwing meant to return the following day but died at Omni-Man's hands first. Whether anyone might have freed the two was left unanswered until Invincible reached Midnight City about a year on, when their skeletal corpses were still hanging in place, showing that both had wasted away from starvation and dehydration.
