Universa

Universa is single-minded and pragmatic, with the survival of her people driving her every move. She has little patience for anything in her path and will overpower whoever stands between her and her goal, even at the cost of innocent human lives. Her approach is aggressive and uncompromising, yet disciplined; she leans on strategy and precise control of her power rather than brute force alone.

She can acknowledge limits, respecting that only the chosen may wield the Staff of Leadership, and though she feels her cause is urgent and morally justified, she rarely stops to talk or negotiate, letting her strength and resolve settle matters.

Universa hails from a world far outside Earth's star system, a homeworld sliding toward collapse under a catastrophic energy crisis. Convinced that siphoning Earth's power was her people's only salvation, she crossed space to reach it. She touched down in the middle of a city street, drained the surrounding street lights with her staff, and followed its guidance to a nearby power plant.

Forcing her way inside past the guards, she overrode the controls despite the workers' warnings and pulled energy straight from the source, triggering a huge blackout across the Eastern Seaboard. Invincible arrived and struck hard enough to interrupt her, but she brushed it off, insisting her people were dying as she overpowered and dropped him. Atom Eve stepped in, her powers flickering unpredictably, and when Mark finally knocked the staff from Universa's grip, its burst of released energy floored him too, since only a chosen wielder can hold it. Before Universa could recover the staff, Eve landed a decisive blow and ended the fight.

Through the Staff of Leadership, Universa absorbs and unleashes electrical and ambient energy, draining large sources such as street lights and power plants to fire it back offensively. The staff also lets her sense energy across enormous distances, even from other worlds, and grants her flight, durability enough to shrug off a punch from Invincible, and the means to survive the vacuum of space without air or food.

Her skill in channeling the staff into large-scale blasts is considerable, but the power is entirely tied to it. Parted from the staff, she loses her durability and energy control and becomes open to ordinary attacks, as Eve proved by dropping her with a single punch.
