Goo Goo Dolls

Featured in Stone Ocean, Goo Goo Dolls belongs to the inmate Gwess and ranks among the Long Distance Stands. It stands no bigger than a mouse, with a tube-shaped head, jointed mechanical limbs and jagged thorns jutting from its skull and chest, while a permanently gaping mouth reveals rows of sharp teeth. Araki modeled the little figure on a mummified monkey, and the colored manga renders it purple. Its temperament is savage: it can only croak the syllable Goo, yet it lunges at foes without restraint and shows just enough cunning to press its advantage in a scrap.

Frail and undersized, the Stand fares poorly against other Stand users, but its talent for shrinking people dovetails perfectly with Gwess' habit of tormenting the weak, and its claws slice a miniaturized target apart with ease. Anyone caught inside its reach, roughly twenty to thirty meters, is instantly reduced to the dimensions of a mouse, the change so sudden the victim rarely notices at first. The effect seems reserved for those Gwess wants to befriend and dominate. Distance breaks the spell: a shrunken captive who strays far enough from Gwess steadily swells back to normal size. She typically tucks her tiny prisoners inside animal pelts and treats them as pets, and Goo Goo Dolls lurks nearby, hidden even within those same skins, ready to strike automatically the moment one disobeys.

Gwess is the sole wielder of Goo Goo Dolls, using it to build herself a collection of doll-sized companions aboard the prison. The Stand invites comparison to Formaggio's Little Feet from Part 5, since both are physically feeble shrinkers, though the two differ sharply: Goo Goo Dolls affects only living targets Gwess desires, works at range rather than by touch, shrinks its victim instantly, and cannot miniaturize its own master.
