Long tied to Toru, the insect was discovered in 1994 while feeding on a bird and fruit by Rai Mamezuku and his father, prompting Toru to kill the elder Mamezuku through Wonder of U. In 2011, Wonder of U summons the creature again to finish off Josuke Higashikata and Mamezuku, seeding asbestos into Josuke. Rai deduces that its attack keys on upward movement, a theory Wonder of U confirms, and as the insect lunges for Josuke, Rai partly unravels his own body to impale and destroy it.
