Partner is the original, later-revised version of chapter 202 in the One-Punch Man manga, part of the Ninjas Arc. Sonic resists the cube's lure and rescues Flashy Flash from monsterhood, just as Blast turns up to confront Empty Void and stun the two ninjas.
Published as Partner, this first retconned version of chapter 202 opens with both Speed-o'-Sound Sonic and Flashy Flash struck by a mysterious cube courtesy of Empty Void. Sonic proves able to resist the power the cube dangles in front of him.
Shrugging off the temptation, Sonic cuts in on the Ninja Village's leader and pulls Flashy Flash back before the conversion into a Mysterious Being can finish. Moments later Blast appears and squares up against Empty Void, a turn of events that catches both ninjas off guard.
The chapter's Japanese title is 相棒 (Aibo), released on February 22, 2024, with Tatsumaki on the cover. Its updated counterpart is Chapter 202 (Online). Notably, this retconned line skips ahead, listing Chapter 207 (Retconned) as the following installment.
