Hero Name

Fubuki explains that she remains in B-Class because she could never climb to the summit the way her sister Tatsumaki has. On reaching B-Class she began gathering weaker heroes beneath her in a bid to surpass the lone-wolf Tatsumaki. Genos suggests she could top A-Class, but Fubuki calls it hopeless since she will never hold Rank 1, noting that even Atomic Samurai's three pupils, Bushidrill, Okamaitachi, and Iaian, cannot break into S-Class because Sweet Mask guards the top spot.

Across the city, an escaped caveman named Suppon rampages after fleeing a nearby lab, and Sweet Mask is tasked with bringing it back alive. When the creature hisses, Sweet Mask remarks that he is not so sweet, then dodges its attack and kills it outright to the crowd's cheers. Back at Saitama's apartment, Fubuki tells him he may be a monster himself, though far short of Sweet Mask or Tatsumaki. She tries to defend her methods, but Saitama holds no grudge and simply has no interest in being her underling. King then arrives to Fubuki's astonishment, asking for his game, and Saitama returns it while confessing he wiped the save data. Seeing S-Class heroes drawn to Saitama's strength, Fubuki starts weighing whether to join their circle.

At a Hero Association meeting, Saitama and Genos receive their names: Genos becomes Demon Cyborg while Saitama is dubbed the plain Caped Baldy. Sitch fumes that the assembly quarrels over names rather than Garou's rampage, and the others note that Bang has volunteered to handle Garou, with King, Tatsumaki, and Blast held in reserve. Garou, meanwhile, happens upon Tanktop Vegetarian and beats him, but finds the bout unsatisfying, gleefully declaring his hero hunt and eager to face monster-class heroes.

Fubuki reveals she leads lower heroes because she can never surpass her sister Tatsumaki or displace Sweet Mask at Rank 1. Sweet Mask kills the escaped caveman Suppon despite orders to capture it alive. King collects his game, and Saitama admits erasing the save data. Saitama and Genos are named Caped Baldy and Demon Cyborg, and Garou defeats Tanktop Vegetarian while launching his hero hunt.

This Volume 9 chapter closes out the Blizzard Group Arc and adapts into Episode 14. It corresponds to Chapter 50 of the webcomic and was released in three parts across March and April of 2015. In one panel Saitama is shown reading Taiyo Man, or Sun Man, one of author ONE's earlier works.
