Chuni Chuni no Mi

Adjusting the strength of abilities, either raising or lowering them, is what this Paramecia power grants, and it falls outside the main canon. Whoever holds it is styled a Tuning Human. The title comes from chuningu, how Japanese renders the word tuning. Yehudi is the eater, and the ability made its first appearance during the 2022 installment of the live One Piece Premier Show.

Two beams do the work: an Age Age Beam that amplifies a target's power and a Sage Sage Beam that diminishes it, with more precise and forceful changes available through direct touch. The wielder may tune their own strength and even the surroundings, and anyone struck by a beam shows an up or down arrow marked on their back. Physical contact intensifies the effect dramatically, enough to raise Shirotsu from helpless against Luffy to a genuine threat capable of fighting him. Living beings are not the only valid targets, as Yehudi once channeled the energy of a volcano. The standout counter is water, which washes the effect off, and beyond that only the usual Devil Fruit weaknesses apply.

Yehudi is the sole eater, boosting himself and his allies while draining the strength of his opponents. His Gokigen Tuning raises power, whereas Gennari Tuning randomly disables a foe's abilities, having stopped Alvida's slipperiness, Galdino's wax wall, Buggy's ability to split apart, Luffy's stretching, and much of Zoro's strength. Touching a target for Age Age Morimori Direct Tuning grants an enormous buff, first used on Shirotsu, and its counterpart Morimori Direct Gokigen Tuning reclaims that granted strength back into himself. His grand finish, a move whose name stacks the word Age six times before ending in Grand Inferno, tunes the volcano on Soil Island until magma and smoke burst forth, chaining into Lighting Shot and the closing Lighting Buster, during which Luffy and Zoro brought him down.
