Summary

Recovering at a hot spring, Mahito recounts his budding rivalry with Sukuna's vessel. Gojo, hearing from Nanami about Yuji's ordeals, decides the goodwill event can lift the boy's spirits through friendly competition and a reunion with the people he cares about. When the day of the contest arrives, Gojo surprises everyone by revealing the supposedly dead Yuji is alive, delighting his teammates but enraging the Kyoto principal Gakuganji, who has ordered Yuji's death.

The team battle opens with Aoi Todo charging the Tokyo side, and his bout with Yuji becomes a mentorship as he teaches the first-year to let cursed energy flow through his whole body. Across the field, paired duels erupt: Megumi and Maki face Noritoshi Kamo and Kasumi Miwa, Nobara and Panda confront Momo Nishimiya and Mechamaru, and Maki later clashes with her twin Mai. Panda is pushed to switch into Gorilla Mode to overcome Mechamaru's heavy ordnance, while Maki outclasses both Miwa and her resentful sister. Noritoshi, raised to uphold the Kamo ideals, secretly smuggles a powerful cursed spirit onto the grounds to kill Yuji, but the plan collapses when the special grade curse Hanami appears and the curse user Juzo casts a curtain that locks Gojo out.

Megumi, Toge, and Noritoshi hold Hanami off until Maki joins with the cursed tool Playful Cloud. When the students are overwhelmed, Yuji and Aoi arrive, and under Aoi's coaching Yuji finally unleashes Black Flash. Aoi's Boogie Woogie lets the duo split Hanami's attention and land repeated Black Flash strikes, cracking the curse's tough shell. Before Hanami can expand his domain, Juzo's curtain falls and Gojo descends to end the fight, taking out Juzo and obliterating much of the forest with Hollow Technique: Purple.

Aftermath

Hanami escapes, but Mahito has already achieved the true objective, slipping away with six of Sukuna's fingers and the first three Death Painting Wombs. As the teachers tally the casualties and consider canceling the competition, Aoi refuses to let it end on that note, and a student vote decides the matter will be resolved through a baseball game instead. The lighthearted finale lets the two sides understand one another better, and the goodwill event concludes with Tokyo declared the winner.
